At Buildboost, we want you to be completely satisfied with your houseplant selection. This Return Policy outlines the conditions and procedures for returning or exchanging plants purchased from buildboost.world or our Portland location.
General Return Policy
We understand that sometimes a plant may not be the right fit for your space. We accept returns of houseplants within 14 days of the original date for a full refund or exchange, provided the plant meets the conditions outlined below.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return or exchange, houseplants must meet the following criteria:
- The plant must be returned within 14 days of the original date.
- The plant must be in its original condition with minimal signs of handling or stress.
- The original pot or container must be included with the return.
- Proof of such as a receipt or confirmation email must be provided.
- The plant must not show signs of improper care, overwatering, or neglect beyond normal transport stress.
Low-maintenance houseplants like snake plants, pothos, and ZZ plants are resilient, but they still require proper handling during the return period.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Plants showing clear signs of improper care, such as severe overwatering or pest infestation acquired after.
- Plants that have been repotted or significantly altered from their original condition.
- Plants ed more than 14 days ago.
- Gift items without proof of.
Return Process
To initiate a return or exchange for a houseplant, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Reach out to Buildboost within 14 days of by phone at +1 503 231 5050 or email at reachus@buildboost.world to request a return authorization.
- Provide Details: Include your information, a description of the plant, and the reason for the return.
- Return the Plant: Bring the plant to our Portland location at 5050 SE Stark St during business hours, or arrange for shipping if originally ordered online.
- Inspection: Our team will inspect the plant to ensure it meets return eligibility criteria.
- Refund or Exchange: Once approved, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method or can select an exchange for a different houseplant.
Shipping Returns
If you need to return a plant by mail, please contact us first to receive return shipping instructions. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the plant arrived damaged or incorrect due to our error.
We recommend using a shipping service that provides tracking and insurance for live plants, as we cannot be held responsible for plants damaged during return transit.
Damaged or Incorrect Plants
If your houseplant arrives damaged or if you receive the wrong plant, please contact us immediately at reachus@buildboost.world or +1 503 231 5050. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
Please provide photos of the damaged plant or incorrect item to expedite the resolution process. We stand behind the quality of our low-maintenance houseplants and will work quickly to make things right.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5 to 7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned houseplant. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of.
Please allow additional time for your financial institution to post the refund to your account.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange your plant for a different variety, we will gladly assist you. The exchange process follows the same eligibility requirements as returns.
If the replacement plant has a different price, you will either receive a refund for the difference or be charged the additional amount.
